Why have EIQ?
The world is full of brilliant guys who never make it socially, and in large part it's due to a low emotional IQ. You need a solid EIQ to interact well with others.
EIQ includes many aspects:
Recognizing your own emotions
Being able to control your own emotions
Having motivation and persistence
Being able to recognize the emotions of other people
Having skill at handling relationships
When you have high EIQ you will find yourself better able to interact with others, as well as to understand your own emotions so you can make adjustments as needed. Assertiveness and EIQ go hand in hand; when you are assertive you naturally relate to people better on an emotional level.
